Spring has arrived

Things are FINALLY looking like spring around here lately! We had so many snow events this year.. we were wondering if we were still in NC! Emma just had a birthday so I'll upload some birthday pictures later. And some spring pictures...

Got Pumpkin?

Okay, it's the time of year that I can't bear to simply *carve* a
pumpkin... we've got to roast the seeds, roast the pumpkin, puree,
freeze some for later use, etc. We had WW pumpkin pancakes this
morning. YUM! This link has LOTS of recipes!

Crafts this fall

Girls' piano recital

The girls played in a holiday piano recital at a health mall's Christmas tree festival. Here's their duet:

Homeschoolers DO go to the mall (sometimes)

Just to prove we DO make it to the mall once in a blue moon... we went a few weeks ago and saw all the Christmas finery before it got too crazy busy. My kids LOVE Pottery Barn Kids so we took in the sights there a while and let them play. Check out the weird reindeer mannequins...

My Advent wreath idea...

I got a little creative and made our Advent wreath this year with the cake dome upside down (as it can be a punch bowl) and then put a glass microwave plate on top. The kids and I collected cedar and magnolia tree clippings, etc. to put inside.
