You know, I LOVE the idea of "pastured poultry" and that's what ours have been. But lately, these new hens and our roosters have over-stepped their boundaries. They have about a half acre to roam, why do they have to get all up in my yard?! They are about to be old enough to start laying eggs so we've GOT to get them on the straight and narrow path. Here's today's evidence. I looked out the dining room window and there they are, eating my grape tomatoes! Max the cat was of no use, either.
The on-going adventures of a Catholic, homeschooling family who have built a family home and continue working on cultivating a homestead while they are trying to NOT lose their focus on Godly priorities... or their minds!

Well, I'm going to try to participate in April Shower of Photos. Each day I'll post some pictures of life happening around here... should be interesting!
These are the pictures I meant to post long a while ago of our new chicks. This was taken Feb. 28th. Up next will be pictures of them NOW...

Can you stand another animal picture? Here are Oreo and Daisy, living it up on their play table. You can't help but love the little boogers...We look forward to getting some pure-bred pygmy goats in the near future. Oreo and Daisy are mixed breeds... but good pets, nonetheless.
